Then “Ngapali” name itself has no meaning in Burmese. This name is originally taken form the Italian word “Napoli” which is the city of Naples.
The Ngapali Beach stretches about 3 km on the Bay of Bengal. This beach offers natural exotic views includes palm trees and white sand spread all over the coast line. You can find several hotels and resorts in Ngapali, like Amata Resort, Bayview Ngapali, Amazing Ngapali, and also the government owned Anawa.
There are several fishing villages around Ngapali Beach which you may pay a visit also. You can find some local-made handicrafts as souvenirs for your friends there. Exploring the beach and the villages around it by bicycle and take a boat trips to several magnificent islets are also some of the attractions in Ngapali.
To reach Ngapali Beach, you can take a flight to Thandwe, about 45 minutes form Yangon. All of the Myanmar’s internal airlines have regular flight schedule to Thnadwe, so it is easy to reach this town. After that take a bus or a taxi to get you to the beach. The best time to visit Ngapali beach is between October to May.
