Celebrate Christmas and New Year in Singapore

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore – The Highest Swimming Pool in The World

The swimming pool is located on the 55th floor at Marina Bay Sands resort which has 2,500 rooms. The resort that was mentioned most expensive in the world, built at a cost reached 5.7 billion U.S. dollars, it’s been open since 2010. The swimming pool itself is located at the top third hotel tower which is 200 meters altitude. The top is called the Sands Skypark, much like the bridge of a cruise ship. The pond itself is at the edges, giving the effect of direct water flowing down the building. Temple of the 1000 Lights
Posted on May 29, 2011 | No CommentsThe Temple of 1,000 Lights or also widely known as The Sakya Muni Buddha Gaya Temple is one of the most prominent and widely visited Buddhist temples in Singapore. It features a 15-meter high statue of a seated Buddha, which weighs nearly 300 tons, as well as many smaller Buddha images and murals depicting the life of Shakyamuni Buddha. The Buddha image is surrounded by numerous light bulbs, which is why many people call it the Temple of 1,000 lights. In a small room beneath the altar is an image of a reclining Buddha, Buddha towards the end of his life, under a Yellow Seraka Tree. Walk into the temple and you’ll immediately notice the majestic 15-metre high statue of Buddha, surrounded by a seemingly endless chain of lights. Marina Square – Shopaholic Paradise in Singapore

It is part of the first building complex built on the reclaimed land at Marina Centre, and was the largest shopping mall in the country at the time. Aside from the weird name, this shopping center with 4 floors and 1 basement floor is perfect for a quick shopping excursion. In 2004, the mall started major renovation works which were completed in mid-2006. It now has 65,000 square metres (700,000 square feet) of retail space, which makes it one of Singapore’s largest malls.
