Vanuatu weather varies from wet tropical in the north (over 4000mm of rainfall a year) to subtropical in the south (less than 2000mm), with dry rain-shadow areas in between. Vanuatu weather is roughly divided into a dry season from May to October (the austral winter) and a wet season from November through April. Winter is from April to September with the temperature averaging 23°C. Light weight casual clothing plus a sweater is usually sufficient. November & December are warm but not generally unpleasantly so. January to March is hot (26-34 degrees Celsius), often wet and prone to cyclones. The...
